Our Journey
The STEAK TANK was first deployed in "battle" by David Maier in 2019 while competing in Steak Cookoff Association events around the country. The all-purpose seasonings, sauces, and collaborative blends that were developed on the competition trail have helped to win multiple contests all over the United States!
It wasn't long before family, friends, and social media folks began requesting samples of the seasoning for home use. After giving away several hundred pounds of his original "Hero's Blend" (for free), David decided to formulate his own seasoning and package it for retail and private-label sale under names like Janssen's Lake Shake, Slade's River Rub, Crop Dust and the Steak Tank Original brand, ATTACK!
The balanced combination of sweet, savory and salt provides the opportunity to use just one seasoning on most dishes. Even though it was designed for use on all proteins, people are using it on roasted vegetables, eggs, avocado toast, roasted pecans, soups and many more recipes that were never imagined during the development of the blend!
